Ayie’s State of the Nation Address
Aileenation is a personal report on the status of my life.
The long of it:
It is the story of one woman bravely juggling the staples of a twenty-something life – a constant craving for shopping, a rapidly dwindling wallet, the tedium of going to work every single day, the need for adventurous life, weird people, cute officemates, charming friends, boys, men, bills, investments, bad movies, great books, and (of course) the search for love.
Armed with wisdom from the complete episodes of “Sex and the City”, Robert Greene’s “The 48 Laws of Power”, Greg Behrendt’s “He’s Just Not That into You”, a Jesuit education, and a Pisay logic, I try to answer life-changing questions like “What have I done in the 25 years that I’ve been here?”, “What’s left to do?”, and more importantly “What will I wear tomorrow?”.
It’s my story as I learn to love myself (from the top of my now brown hair to the corns on my toes), and realizing along the way that even if I still do not have the house, car, job, Brad Pitt, and 2.2 cute kids of my childhood dreams, life is good – and I will get all these soon…..and more J
Bottom-line:
I’ll post anything – for as long as my keyboard works, WordPress is available, and there’s something to write about.
