So Jason was right.
Seat numbers were nothing but random numbers for the concert. (But I still stand by my claim that production level software/website should function correctly)
The concert was strictly squeezing standing “room” only.
This is is the first concert that I have attented that started on time (or at least it was only 10 minutes late)
First, [...]

Happy National Heroes Day (August 31, 2008)
In honor of National Heroes Day (August 31), I am posting ”Mi ultimo adios” written by Jose Rizal, as translated by Andres Bonifacio:
Pinipintuho kong Bayan ay paalam,
Lupang iniirog ng sikat ng araw,
mutyang mahalaga sa dagat Silangan,
kaluwalhatiang sa ami’y pumanaw.
Masayang sa iyo’y aking idudulot
ang lanta kong buhay na [...]

I finally finished “The Time Traveller’s Wife” and it was as depressing as I expected it to be.
A fun and engaging read but leaves a ton of weight at the pit of my stomach, some tears, and lots of heart wrenching moments.
A poem from “The Time Traveller’s Wife”
Love after Love by Derek Walcott
The time will come
when, [...]

Day 1
Dear Diary,
6:00-7:00 a.m.
I almost missed the plane J I was the last one to check in. The crewmember had to stick a sticker in my bag. It read “LAST BAG. Pakisabi kay Karen miss ko na sya”. No kidding.
The plane ride was a short taste of [...]

After a hundred tries, I finally managed to get our tickets!!!!!! Weeeeheeee!
See you at the concert guys!
Lift your head
Baby don’t be scared
of the things that could go wrong along the way
We’ll get by with a smile
Now it’s time to kiss away
Those tears goodbye

So….the Eraserheads Reunion concert is finally set for August 30 at the Fort.
Tickets can be bought via Ticketworld…. through their outlet stations and their website…
A warning though – buying tickets online is a pain in the $^&%$#!!!!
I was trying to buy tickets for four people. Their website offers an algorithm for selecting “the best seats available”. [...]

The 8th season of “Koh Lanta” (French edition of “Survivor),” was shot entirely in Caramoan’s. TV director Corinne Vaillant, stated that “the powdery sand, the coconuts on Gota beach and the neighboring islets are a ‘dream’ for the French people. We chose Caramoan because it’s really wild. It’s necessary that contestants don’t see anything other [...]

Feeling Blue and Askew
Landslide by Dixie Chicks/Smashing Pumpkins/Fleetwood Mac (the Smashing Pumpkins version is creepily moving)
Allelujah by Rufus Wainwright (fantastic!)
Blue Eyes Blue by Eric Clapton (pathetically satisfying)
The Blower’s Daughter by Damien Rice (think Natalie Portman’s Alice in the film Closer – walking as passers-by are turning their heads staring at her, stunned at her beauty)
Love is [...]

There are times when I really surprise myself with the depth of my un-intelligence. I have accepted some limitations – like the fact that I will be one of the very few people who will die without ever really knowing right from left, or that I will forever be at the mercy of taxi drivers [...]
